Nailu Zhang is a master supervisor and professor with Xi’an Shiyou University. Zhang’s research interest covers automatic monitoring and process control, Internet of things and artificial intelligence, digital and intelligent oilfield development, automatic manufacturing informatization and security detection and safety evaluation.

In these years, Zhang has chaired many key research projects initiated by the government of Shaanxi province for innovation, technological breakthroughs, information-industry integration, and projects for digital intelligent oilfield development funded by PetroChina and Sinopec. He has won a range of honors and awards, including the third prize of National Technological Invention, the advanced award for National Scientific and Technological Breakthroughs, the first and third prizes for Science and Technology Progress granted by China Nonferrous Metal Mining Group, the third prize of Patented Research Achievements of Shaanxi Province. Zhang is also a standing committee member of the Association of Automation of Shaanxi, a standing committee member of Shaanxi Instrument and Control Society, and the standing committee member of Association of Automation of Xi’an.
